Architectus is an architecture and urbanism practice designing places and spaces tuned to their communities, context, and culture. Advocates for integrated design, we apply a rigorous and tailored approach to create environments that are inspiring and enduring.
As one of the most successful and critically acclaimed practices in Aotearoa, Architectus has been realising innovative and bespoke projects throughout the country for the past 35 years. With an emphasis on people and sustainability, the practice’s work has been recognised for its clarity of intent and resolution, its careful reading of context and content and ability to advance a broad cultural agenda. We are proud of our reputation for clear strategic design thinking and for the collaborative approach we bring to problem solving.
Architectus were founding signatories to the Aotearoa New Zealand Architects Declare Climate & Biodiversity Emergency and are committed to working towards designing all new buildings to be net zero carbon. This includes the carbon emissions during construction and operation as well as a commitment to reducing the embodied carbon in the building. We recognise the need to change our working practices and prioritising our responsibility in safeguarding our planet.
