New Zealand’s leading event for energy, carbon, and sustainability professionals is just around the corner. The 2025 Carbon and Energy Professionals Conference (CEP Conference) will take place in Auckland on the 27th and 28th of May, bringing together industry leaders, innovators, and changemakers to exchange ideas, insights, and best practices for a low-emissions future.
Widely regarded as the premier learning event for the sector, the CEP Conference offers a unique opportunity to engage with experts in decarbonisation, explore new technologies at the exhibitor showcase, and participate in thought-provoking workshops - all designed to accelerate impact across the energy and sustainability landscape.
Toitū Envirocare is contributing to the conversation through a dedicated workshop on product emissions, with a focus on fuels and biofuels.
Toitū Workshop: Product Emissions – Fuels / Biofuels
11:15am, Day 1 (27 May)
Limited to 25 participants
The Bioenergy Association of NZ engaged Toitū to develop product carbon footprint guidance for gaseous biofuels in NZ. This workshop, hosted by Toitū’s Science and Advisory team, will introduce the principles within the guidance, which is based on international renewable energy certificate schemes.
All fuels have product-related emissions from upstream indirect and downstream use phase. Producers and users of fuels should understand the product lifecycle emissions to enable organisational carbon reporting and highlight reduction opportunities.
This workshop will apply Life Cycle Assessment principles to understand the product carbon footprint of fuels and highlight the opportunities of low-carbon fuels to reduce organisational emissions.
If your organisation uses, supplies, or reports on fuel use, this is a rare opportunity to get hands-on with the latest guidance based on international renewable energy certificate schemes and engage directly with the experts behind its development.
