The principal activity of Carter Jonas is the provision of property consultancy services to the commercial,
residential, rural and planning and development markets through 38 offices during 2023-4 and
approximately 890 full time people including 96 Partners.
We have a number of specialist teams covering areas such as arboriculture, education, infrastructures, land
development, minerals, renewable energy, telecoms, technology, and valuation. Our clients include blue
chip institutional and private landowners, national bodies, educational establishments, local authorities,
developers and not for profit organisations.
Carter Jonas is committed to managing its activities, wherever practical, to minimise any harmful impact on
the environment. Our minimisation efforts cover key areas such as transport fuel and office electricity
consumption. We also commit to complying with all UK environmental legislation. The firm’s transition to
environmental management system accreditation to ISO14001;2015 was completed in January 2017. We are

committed to a whole firm approach to greenhouse gas measurement and a target of achieving net zero in
our scopes 1 and 2 emissions by 2035, and by 2025, to develop and publish an approach to achieving netzero scope 3 emissions by 2040, along with limiting the use of offsets to no more than 10% of our baseline.
