The Print Room New Zealand Limited

Print Room is an independent screen-printing and apparel decoration company based in Ōtepoti Dunedin. We create custom-printed garments, embroidery, laser engraving, and branded merchandise for businesses, organisations, events, and communities throughout Aotearoa.

As a business, we recognise that our success is closely connected to the people and environment that support us. Being based in Ōtepoti, we are fortunate to live and work in a place with a strong sense of community and a unique natural environment. We believe businesses have a responsibility to care for the places they operate in and to continually look for ways to reduce their impact.

Our Toitū Envirocare journey began with a desire to better understand our environmental footprint and create a structured framework for improvement. While we had already adopted many environmentally conscious practices, including the use of water-based inks and environmentally preferable cleaning products, we wanted to take a more considered and measurable approach to environmental management.

Through the development of our Environmental Management System, we have gained a deeper understanding of our impacts and identified opportunities to improve everything from resource use and waste management to supplier engagement and future site design. The process has helped us embed environmental thinking into everyday decision-making and given us a clear pathway for continual improvement.

We are proud of the progress we have made and remain committed to building a business that creates high-quality products while contributing positively to the people, place, and environment that make our work possible.
