As New Zealand's largest parks and turf management specialists, we are proudly responsible for more than 5,532 parks and reserves across Aotearoa New Zealand. Our service delivery spans various industries including councils, schools, universities, hospitals, stadiums, and golf courses. At RSL, we strive for excellence at every level of our service delivery. We have spent 30 years focusing on understanding our customers' individual needs and providing exceptional service, which not only meets but exceeds our customers' requirements. This inventory reports into the Toitū carbon reduction program. In FY22, RSL joined forces with three other green space companies including Green Options, Skyline, and Super Gardens as well as Mercury Capital to form Australasian Landscape Services (ALS). The only change this has had on our organisational structure is that our CEO and Financial Controller now report to the ALS board, and RSL as an entity sits under the ALS umbrella. We recognise that our operations directly impact the environment and have made sustainability an integral part of our strategy and management system. In 2018, the RSL Green Team set out to create a sustainability plan that would commit us to more ambitious climate & social objectives, that could be owned organisationally and that would consolidate a strong license to operate to build trust among our stakeholders and customers. Through careful alignment with the shared purpose of the UN’s SDGs, we established a sustainable development agenda comprised of four elements: think Environment, think People, think Communities, think Local. Our 'Think Environment' mission statement is to reduce our emissions, cause no unnecessary harm and inspire and implement solutions to regenerate our environment.
