Oyster Property Group Limited is the sole owner of Oyster Management Limited (OML), one of New Zealand’s leading unlisted commercial property and fund managers. OML has expertise in property fund structuring and equity raising, and currently manages over 20 property funds structured for retail and wholesale investors including Oyster Industrial, the Oyster Large Format Retail Fund and the diversified Oyster Direct Property Fund.

OML has a licence under the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013 to manage “Other Managed Investment Schemes” and is regulated by the Financial Markets Authority (FMA) and supervised by Covenant Trustee Services Ltd. The “Other Managed Investment Schemes” which OML is licenced to manage are Property Syndicates/Real Property Proportionate Ownership Schemes, and Managed Investment Schemes - Managed Funds where the Managed Funds are invested solely in real property (listed and unlisted).

OML also provides property asset management services, both directly to assets within the schemes it manages, and also via third party management mandates where assets are owned by other commercial entities unrelated to Oyster. Oyster manages a range of retail, office and industrial property assets throughout New Zealand, with a combined value of approximately $1.9 billion. Oyster’s team comprises specialists in transactions, asset and property management, development and finance.

Throughout this document the terms “OML” and “Oyster” are used interchangeably.
