Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA)
The Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA) is a Crown Entity established under the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act (2000). It is the main body responsible for helping to deliver the Government's extensive energy efficiency agenda, and promotes a sustainable energy future by changing the way New Zealanders think about and use energy. The Act requires EECA to encourage, promote and support energy efficiency, energy conservation and the use of renewable energy sources.
EECA is committed to sustainable practices within its own organisation, and is active in publishing sustainability reports and triple bottom line reporting. EECA is publicly committed to managing its emissions as indicated on their website.
