The Real Estate Agents Authority, operating as the Real Estate Authority - Te Mana Papawhenua (REA) is a Crown Entity established under the Real Estate Agents Act 2008. We are the real estate industry conduct regulator responsible for licensing and regulating real estate salespeople, branch managers and agents, raising industry standards and providing accountability to those standards by overseeing a complaints and disciplinary process that is independent, transparent, and effective. REA employs less than 60 permanent staff, and operates from a single commercial office space based in Wellington, with flexible working arrangements available to staff.
